    Hi Dalton, good question.

    Vortex tubes are used for cooling Control cabinets in hazardous or contaminated environments. It can cool compressed air up to 45F from its incoming temp. They will mount into standard size knock-out holes in your cabinet. They come in 5 different sizes from 600 to 5600 BTU/H cooling capacities.
    They work on a very simple principle of air passed through a restricted orifice to reduce temp. They have no moving parts and are equipped mufflers to reduce noise.
