Hello Reba, we will be happy to help you with this info.

The Werma MDC system consists of the Transmitters for wireless data monitoring, a Receiver for secure data collection and the Software for your Central control station. The Transmitters integrate into the signal tower as an additional element to monitor the status and counts of output of up to 50 machines or workstations and wireless transfer the data to the receiver. The Receiver receives all data sent by the transmitters in the network and saves it to a Microsoft SQL database. The Software on the Central Control station offers an overview of all machines, equipment and workstations to provide a retrospective analysis of the data, to optimize the process, react quickly to production disruptions and produce reports.

Ok what is the range of the wireless transmitters and what frequency band does it operate on?

Good questions, each transmitter has a range of up to 300 meters clear line of sight and also acts as a repeater to allow range extension up 900 meters. However the range indoors can be limited as with all conventional wireless systems but 1 of the strengths of this system is the use of the frequency band 868MHz. This allows it to pass thru walls and objects better than WLAN or Bluetooth.

Can it be incorporated into existing systems?

Yes it can be retro-fitted into existing systems without difficulty. The self-explanatory software which gives continuous information on status change and faults is impressive.
